The Challenge

Narimane Kanaan needed a website that positioned their salon as a modern hair design studio in Ottawa and showcased their expertise. As a smaller salon, increasing visibility online was important. We needed a clear understanding of the ideal customer and their online behaviour as well as what services they are most interested in. This led us to extensive user research that informed the messaging, brand positioning and web content.

The Solution

The result was a modern website that is fully responsive across all devices. The refreshed visual identity is minimal and chic. We developed a messaging plan that played to the company’s strengths and connected with their end user. This led to lighthearted, down-to-earth copy that connected with our targeted audience and emphasized the salon’s personalized approach. Content was optimized for search engines based on extensive data-backed keyword research. We also made technical optimizations to the website that not only helped with SEO but optimized site speed and performance. The website now generates a majority of its traffic (48%) through organic search

Finally, we integrated a modern salon software that allows users to easily book an appointment online while allowing the salon to track inventory and maintain staff schedules, resulting in improved conversions and optimized bookings.
